Date :- 2026

 Start/Finish time :- Pegs draw at 9.30am Rods in at 12.00pm Friday & Rods out 12.00pm Sunday  .

Competition format :- This is a pairs match consisting of 16-17 pairs so a total of 32-34 anglers. 

Venue :-  Willow Park Fishery, Youngs Drive, Ash, Aldershot, GU12 6RE

Facilities :-  On site cafe, Toilets, Shower, Tackle shop, Buggy runs.

 What else is on :-   Raffle, Auction, Tombola, Bottle Tombola, Hook a fish game, Cakes and Cookies for sale, Merchandise for sale and sweepstakes.

 Entry :- £100 entry fee per angler which secures your place on the match & covers the cost of the lake and food package.

 Winners :-   Trophy's for the overall winning pair, the biggest single fish and smallest single fish.

 Sponsorship :-   Sponsorship forms can be downloaded and printed off from the donations page. Sponsorship is to be collected and given to ourselves to pay to Cancer Research by the end of the match. There is NO minimum sponsorship level for this match. 

 Draw :- Pegs will be drawn from a bucket once everyone has arrived on site at around 9.30am.

Competition Rules :-

1. Once pegs have been drawn you have 2.5hrs to get set up in your swim.
2. You can pre-bait your swim from when the pegs have finished being drawn.
3. No sonars, deeper or fish finders to be used.
4. No wading to cast, wading only permitted to rescue fish in distress.
5. No slinging of fish except when waiting for the marshals’, absolutely no slinging for longer then necessary.
6. All anglers are to make sure they have a carp care kit available and treat fish as required.
7. Only 2 rods per angler to be used but you may have a 3rd rod set up for speed of re casting after a catch.

8. If your partner has had to pull out at the last minute the remaining angler is permitted to use 3 rods instead of 2.
9. You must only fish within your swims marked boundaries.
10. No rods are to be in the water before the official match start time. A signal (to be confirmed) will be given to start and end the match.
11. Only carp are to be weighed, no other species count.
12. Every carp caught must be weighed after capture, the weight witnessed by the marshals and recorded, a photo taken, the carp must then be released back into the lake.
13. No drugs are to be taken or had on an anglers person during the event.
14. There will be a 4 hour compulsory break on the Saturday starting at 12.00pm until 4pm on the green next to the big lake car park for a social. The raffle and auction will also be held at this time. you can choose to fish during this time however any fish captured WILL NOT count.
15. Entry to the event is done on a first come first serve basis.
16. Entry to the match is by purchasing a ticket through the online store only.
17. Deposits are to be paid at time of purchase and remaining balance to be paid no later than 30th September 2023 or your spot will be released and resold.
18. Entry fee deposit is NON- REFUNDABLE, if you can’t take part after securing your place your fee will be paid to Cancer Research as a donation.
19. If you are unable to fish the event after purchasing your ticket we must be notified A.S.A.P.

20. Any spots that become available will offered to the waiting list on a first come first serve basis, and the full entry fee will apply to the replacement pair.
 
21. All sponsorships to be handed in by the end of the match and any that are being paid via the just giving page must be paid within 48 hours of the match ending. Non payment of sponsorship will disqualify you from taking part in future matches.
22. There is NO minimum sponsorship for this event.

Event Location

The match for 2026 will be held at Willow Park Fishery based in Aldershot, Hampshire. The match will be held on the Big lake and we will have sole use of the lake for the duration of the match.


BIG LAKE

Our 10 acre lake is pegged with 30 bark chipped swims, many of which can be fished as doubles . This lake is home to a head of 400+ with a few carp over 30lb, a very good head of 20’s including 3 floppy tailed commons around 28lb. Also home to a lovely fully scaled mirror named “The Princess” at 26lb please see our Gallery for pictures of these stunning fish. It also lovely head of back up fish between 15-20lb this means your always likely to get a bend in your rod.

Auction Details

The auction will be held at approximately 1pm on Saturday 2026. Each lot will be announced and the starting price stated, you can then bid on the item. If no more bids are received after being called 3 times and you are the highest bidder, you will win the item. Payment can be made at the end of the match or after the auction.

If you would like to bid on something but are not able to be at the event you can leave your maximum bid along with your contact details with either Vicki & Ian by dropping us a message via email or Facebook or you can leave it with the guys in the tackle shop.
